Mrs. Turner has a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education-Biology from Auburn University. She is certified in General Science for grades 7-12. She obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of West Alabama in 2012.

Mrs. Turner returned to her alma mater to teach science. She has been teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Human Anatomy and Physiology for the past 20 years. She also works as an online teacher with the ACCESS Distance Learning program.

Mrs. Turner is a former graduate of Flomaton High School. She attended Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton, Alabama and went on to complete her undergraduate degree at Auburn University. Upon completing her degree, she returned home to teach science at Flomaton High School where she has continued to teach for the past twenty years. She obtained her master's degree at the University of West Alabama. Mrs. Turner is the junior class sponsor and chair of the prom committee. She also participates in planning homecoming activities and is the sponsor of the majorette line for the FHS marching band.
